Our modern Field of AT emerged from the understanding that our everyday communities are bigger than previously envisioned, and that we have a responsibility to broaden access to it for all…endlessly. It's not about compassion, it's about logic—we're not try to "include" people, we actually trying to rectify the fact that we excluded people to begin with. "Thinking AT" is about having a vision for fixing the inequities and systematic design flaws in the world around us. We don't need to fix people, we need to fix access for people.
